Conservatives Name Candidate for Torksey By-Election

The Gainsborough Constituency Conservative Association are pleased to have selected a first-class, local candidate, for the forthcoming by-election on Thursday, 24th October, for the Torksey ward vacancy on West Lindsey District Council.

Stuart Kinch Decides to Resign as West Lindsey District Councillor

Stuart Kinch, who has served as a Conservative District Councillor for the Torksey Ward for over sixteen years, since May 2003, has written to Ian Knowles, West Lindsey District Council’s Head of Paid Service to inform him of his decision to resign his public office. Stuart said:

Conservatives in the Gainsborough Constituency have been pleased by the local result of elections to Lincolnshire County Council. The Association secured the re-election of all eight incumbent Conservative councillors, in ten contests, across the West Lindsey district which makes up the majority of the Gainsborough Constituency.

Iconic Red Telephone Box Transformed at Torksey

An iconic red telephone box has been transformed into an information point.Volunteers from Torksey Action Group have renovated the inside of a village phone box to use as an information centre and communication point.
