Nettleham & Area Branch

Nettleham & Area Conservatives is a branch of the Gainsborough Constituency Conservative Association.

The Branch's area covers the West Lindsey District Council wards of:

  • Bardney
  • Cherry WIllingham
  • Dunholme & Welton
  • Nettleham
  • Saxilby
  • Scampton
  • Stow; and
  • Sudbrooke

An area which has a population of approximately 29,000 electors, there are fourteen district council seats (currently 9 Conservative 2 Liberal Democrat, 2 Lincolnshire Independent and 1 Independent) and 3 whole and 1 partial county council seats (all Conservative). Our local, Conservative parliamentarian, is Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Leigh.

The Branch's main functions are fundraising activity, social events, political events and local campaigning through co-ordination of the Local Conservative Action Teams (LCAT)

Mrs. Stephanie Rouse is the Chairman of the Nettleham & Area Branch. Mrs. Rouse served as the Chairman of the Gainsborough Constituency Conservative Association from March 2012 - March 2016.

County Councillor (Gainsborough Rural South division)

Richard was born and has lived in the local area for the majority of his life and is therefore well aware of the challenges that living in a rural community can bring. 

Maureen Palmer

Campaigner

Maureen was brought up and educated in the small village of Guston in Kent. On completing her education she began her working life in the Women's Royal Army Corps.
